About

Make Up Artist Sunshine Coast

If you were to ask anyone that knows Kim the two things she was most passionate about they would tell you, makeup and people. Even though the dream of a career in beauty wasn’t realised until later in life , Kim had often toyed with the idea. From a young age she was exposed to the industry with her first job being in pharmacy and cosmetics at the age of 14.

“I always admired how polished the ladies at work were and I remember building up quite a collection after pay day every Saturday, I was hooked”.  Kim always had a natural flair for make up but being from a small town there was no direction or facilities available for her to utilise her skills, she remembers visiting the first Napoleon concept store in Brisbane whilst on holidays one year and “fell in love”.

After several years, a move interstate and her sister’s wedding for inspiration Kim finally got the opportunity to do some formal training at the Napoleon Perdis Make Up Academy 9 years ago. From there her Career in Make Up was born and the dream was realised. She finally discovered “how I could help people by doing something that I also loved”. She was in her element. Building a solid foundation in the wedding industry  as a Professional Make Up Artist, Kim has branched out into several areas of beauty  and continued to maintain the highest standards, values and commitment that Shima & Gloss is known for.
